Indusfood-Tech: Tell us about the company’s formation and growth story? How have you evolved as a business in India and abroad? What is your future expansion strategy?
Ravi Mirchandani: Dynamech Engineers is a pioneer in the field of snack making machines. With a mission to provide simplified solutions to the snack making industry, Dynamech Engineers was incepted by Manohar Mirchandani in the year 1985. Mirchandani, who is a mechanical engineer, envisioned the development of simplified solutions that can reach small and medium enterprises at affordable prices. As a result of his sheer persistence, he innovated the first sev making machine in the year 1988. The journey started on a humble note and has been full of inventions, innovations and continuous research from there on.

With a rich experience of more than 35 years today, we strive for the best possible outcomes for the food and snack industry. Also, we are proud to acknowledge our pan-India presence and our worldwide clientele presence, all served by our 5 manufacturing units in Indore; the latest of which is developing on a 28,000 sq ft. spread near Sanwer Road. Today, we provide end-to-end products, services and solutions to top notch players like Frito Lays, Haldirams, Aakash Namkeen, Bikano etc. in India.

At Dynamech Engineers we are planning to set up a world class manufacturing facility for our machines, and we want to enter major world markets by developing our distribution network.

Indusfood-Tech: What are the key product categories you cater to? And what are the major end use sectors where you are witnessing good demand for your equipment?
RM: We are not just manufacturers, we are a global snacking experience!

Having expertise in providing turnkey solutions for namkeens, snacks, potato chips and extruded snacks, we offer the whole range of machines from semi-automatic systems to full automatic lines. Our forte is in designing and manufacturing continuous fryers for various items with capacity ranging from 25 kg/hr to 1,000 kg/hr. We offer continuous fryers for Indian namkeens, potato chips, extruded snacks, pellets, lentils, dals etc. We also offer fuel-efficient heating systems (heat exchangers) based on diesel, gas, LDO and thermic fluid.  These heat exchangers are being offered along with batch and continuous fryers.

Recently, we have introduced most fuel-efficient wood-based direct heat exchanger, Nano Fryers for small capacity frying of 100 kg per hr, multi snacks fryer for potato chips, namkeens, Kurkure and pellets in one line. We make everything from extruders, dough kneaders, potato slicers, potato peelers, centrifuges, boilers, heat exchangers, continuous fryers and flavouring systems. Our range of potato chips lines start from 50 Kg/hr to 300 Kg/hr in various models: Mini, Neo and Fully Automatic.

Currently all snack products are in demand by the end user such as potato chips, namkeen savories, extruded snacks and so on. So, we have tailored solutions for all.

Indusfood-Tech: What are the latest trends in evolution of packaging materials and snack machines technology? How are you adapting to them as a company?
RM: The world is shifting to clean fuel heating systems and Dynamech has also developed Bio Mass Pellet heating systems, which are made using saw dust, and the process of burning is through gasification, so fuel burns like gas, which is a clean fuel!

Indusfood-Tech: How strong has been the role of the R&D for your business to be a success? Any major R&D/innovations that you might wish to share with us?
RM: Dynamech has been doing tailor-made solutions since its inception with proper R&D. As and when customers have come up with problems, we have offered solutions using our indigenous technologies. Recently, we have developed Samosa, Bread Pakoda, and Pani Poori fryers. We have flexible manufacturing systems with robust R&D facilities, which help us in making tailor-made products.

At Dynamech, we are working on building bigger fryers. Until now, bigger fryers have been supplied only by MNC companies. We also have the technology to increase production capacity of existing fryers.

Indusfood-Tech: How is the food processing equipment industry expected to grow in the future? What will be the drivers of the growth?
RM: Food is very basic need of human beings. The way we make and the type of food we intake will see drastic change in the near future as with millennials the food choices are bound to change. Healthy Food is the key to the future.

Indusfood-Tech: What has been the progress of your business on the export front and which are the main markets you have successfully penetrated? What are your future strategies to tap your potential target markets?
RM: The export market is picking up. We first understand the need of the client wherever he may be and offer tailor made solutions. We not only focus on Indian snacks but worldwide snacks too. We are developing near-by markets of East Asian countries & Indian sub-continent. In future, we would want to develop a world-wide distribution network.

Indusfood-Tech: How do you see Indusfood-Tech as a platform for the growth of the industry?
RM: Indusfood-tech is a unique platform which connects buyers and sellers both. Unlike any other exhibition, there is certainty that buyers will visit and it gives an opportunity for us to invite our existing leads to India as well.
